Product Description :

The illustration draws inspiration from the Prongs Lighthouse, one of the historic navigational landmarks that guided ships into Bombay Harbour. The design captures a moment when the sea was central to Bombay's identity: ships arriving, docks taking shape, and the waterfront becoming the gateway through which people, goods and cultures entered the city. The surrounding radial pattern echoes waves, navigation and the expanding reach of the harbour, giving the cup a distinctly nautical character.

Part of The Bombay Ballad — a maritime toile inspired by the city that grew from the sea.

Care Instructions :

Handwash with liquid soap only without any abrasive material OR use a soft, damp cloth or non-abrasive sponge for cleaning. Avoid prolonged soaking to protect the print and material. Do not scrub the design or place in the dishwasher, as high heat may fade the print.

A Note on Colour: The printed artwork may show slight variations in colour and tone from the images shown. These variations are a natural characteristic of the printing process and add to the individuality of each piece.

Meet the Creator

Born from my love for Mumbai and deep respect for its cultural heritage, Bombay Gothic began in 2021 as a way to bring art and architecture into our everyday lives. My work celebrates the city’s iconic Gothic skyline through illustrated cityscapes that spark nostalgia, honour history, and invite you to see Mumbai through a new lens.

As a conservation architect, I preserve the physical fabric of our cities. But through Bombay Gothic, I also try to preserve the intangible — the memories, moods, and magic that make Bombay, Bombay. Every piece is a love letter to the city’s soul — where art, heritage, and storytelling meet.
