First Light Matters
The first burn sets the tone. Let the wax melt fully, edge to edge, before you put it out. This prevents tunnelling and allows the candle to remember how it should burn.
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

Mind the Wick
Before every use, trim the wick to 6 mm.
Soy wax wicks may form a soft mushroom tip—this is natural. Trimming keeps the flame steady, prevents excess heat, and helps your candle burn gently and last longer.
Do not trim too short, or the wick may drown in wax.

Where You Keep It
Candles are sensitive to heat and light. Store upright, away from direct sunlight or strong artificial light.
Fragrances with vanilla notes may yellow over time—this is natural and does not affect performance.

Putting It Out
Blowing is dramatic, but not ideal.
Use a candle snuffer or dipper to extinguish the flame. This keeps the wick centred, avoids wax splatter, and preserves burn time.

Keep the Pool Clean
If you notice black residue along the rim, gently wipe it with a damp cloth.
This often means the wick is too long—trim before the next burn.
