Product Description :
Designed to be appreciated as both functional tableware and collectible art, the pair brings a little piece of Bombay's maritime memory to the everyday table. This set of two bone china heritage plates brings together two evocative Bombay landmarks: the historic Ballard Bunder Gatehouse, the 1920 gateway associated with Ballard Pier and Bombay's maritime past, and the Port Trust War Memorial built in 1919 commemorating Bombay Port Trust's role during World War I and the employees who lost their lives in the conflict.
Part of The Bombay Ballad — a maritime toile inspired by the city that grew from the sea.

Born from my love for Mumbai and deep respect for its cultural heritage, Bombay Gothic began in 2021 as a way to bring art and architecture into our everyday lives. My work celebrates the city’s iconic Gothic skyline through illustrated cityscapes that spark nostalgia, honour history, and invite you to see Mumbai through a new lens.
As a conservation architect, I preserve the physical fabric of our cities. But through Bombay Gothic, I also try to preserve the intangible — the memories, moods, and magic that make Bombay, Bombay. Every piece is a love letter to the city’s soul — where art, heritage, and storytelling meet.
